Moreira Chonguica is the top Mozambican saxophonist. He was born in Maputo, and moved to Cape Town in 1997. Both his father and his uncle introduced him to music: his father played guitar and sang and his uncle played double bass. They listened to musicians like FelaKuti, Mano Dibango, Miles David, Hugh Masekela,PableMilanes and many others.
